How to request deletion
- Fill in the form on this page using the phone number registered in the app, or email contact@sameeti.com with the subject “Account deletion request”.
- Mention your society name and flat number (residents) or your society and gate (guards).
- We will verify the request with a call or WhatsApp message to the registered phone number, so nobody else can delete your account.
- We confirm when your account has been deleted.
You can also ask your society’s committee or manager to remove you from the society in Sameeti — they can do this directly from their dashboard.
What gets deleted
Within 30 days of verifying your request we delete:
- your login, profile details and profile photo;
- identity documents you uploaded (such as Aadhaar or PAN images) and KYC details;
- family members, vehicles and emergency contacts you added;
- notification tokens and app preferences.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Invoices, receipts and payment records of your flat — kept for up to 8 years, because the society and we must keep accounting records under GST and income-tax law.
- Gate and visitor logs that are part of the society’s security records — kept for as long as the society needs them as security records, and deleted when the society’s account is closed.
- Complaints and notices — the society’s record of the complaint is kept, without your personal details.
- Backups — removed when backups are overwritten on their normal cycle.
Guards and staff
Guard and staff accounts are created by the society or security agency. Deleting your app account removes your login and personal profile; attendance and duty records may be kept by the society as employment records.
